Description
In 1964, The Beatles had their biggest reception ever, with 300 000 people lining the streets of Adelaide to see the band (minus Ringo). Adelaide and South Australia also had other (sometimes surprising) connections to The Beatles, many of which have never been written about before this book.
One Dream Ago‘s striking cover artwork was created by Klaus Voormann. The book contains stories that have not previously been told and photographs that have not previously been published. Authors Michael X. Savvas and (his daughter) Olivia interviewed South Australian Beatle fans who saw, heard or knew The Beatles.
They also spoke to people in the inner circle, such as Sir George Martin, Pete Best, Billy J. Kramer, May Pang and Klaus Voormann. The result is a warm and humorous tribute to the greatest band in the history of civilisation.
