There are a few Beatles boxsets that I have acquired/ purchased over the years that I am considering putting up for sale in the near future. Before I actually take that step, I want to preserve some of the images of some of my favorite Beatle’s boxsets for posterity on the blog.
For the older Beatles fans, do you remember the time when Beatles cd’s were first being introduced into the marketplace? What a thrill that was to listen to a Beatles cd with great sound and random access to any track that you might like to hear at a given time. What a treat. as the years rolled by cd sales hit their peak and the introduction of streaming media began the decline in the sale of physical media. Ironically not in all cases as vinyl records have undergone a resurgence in recent years!
THE HOLOGRAPHIC CD BEATLES BOXSET:
Here is the holographic cd boxset which contained the image of a Ringo type drum set on the cover of the box. It must be noted at this juncture that a possible problem with any potential boxset is the lack of a thorough completeness of a band’s recorded legacy. For example, the Anthology recordings are not included in this cd set. It misses the three completed new Beatles songs, the 2 recorded in the 90s and the one from 2022/2023. It does not include the only official Beatles live album of the Hollywood Bowl material as well.
There is nothing that can be done about that phenomenon when those new releasesfollow the release of a supposed complete collection of legitimate recordings. With the initial cd releases there was also criticism due to the first 4 Beatles releases being released in only the mono format. Later that was rectified, but of course, that warranted additional purchases.

UK BEATLES SINGLES COLLECTION:
If you are a collector, you will of course realize that not all the 45 singles issued in the UK were similar or identical to the releases in the US!
These are the contents of my UK singles collection:

Though E.P.s were not a common occurrence in the US, they were very popular in the UK. Here is my boxset of UK Beatles E.P.s:

Possibly the best sounding recordings of the lot. The boxset of the Original Master Recordings. That contention has been disputed by some Beatle audiophiles. I love the recordings despite the criticism:

Those days are unfortunately now gone for me!

OUR FEATURED BOOK – CAVERN THE INSIDE STORY

Cavern Club – The Inside Story
This first-hand account of Debbie’s teen years frequenting and eventually helping to run the original Cavern Club is the authentic inside story of the Beatles launch pad, full of triumphs and failures – and surprise celebrity encounters.
Thanks for recording these images for posterity. These releases were made during a period when I considered them superfluous, since I’d already bought all the material when originally issued. Nowadays I buy everything they put out, and regret that my ‘completeness’ gene was not fully formed when these fascinating releases came out. Now they’re too expensive on the second hand market, so my collection must remain incomplete. This is the first time I’ve seen inside the boxes, so many thanks for that.
