YES, “THAT” HUNTER DAVIES!!!

The only man to ever be given the official authorization to write a biography about the Beatles is now in his 90s and guess what, he has written a new Beatles book with new content. God Bless You, Hunter! Your fascination with that legendary band continues like it does with the viewers of this blog. Remember the following exclusive bit of info that Hunter was able to share with us when he issued his John Lennon Letters book a few years ago? The book featured the first pictorial lyric appearance of the unreleased Lennon song until now from 65/66 called Little Girl that Lennon was working on during the Rubber Soul era or slightly later. At the time there were other suggested titles for the as yet unheard-of song including one article that publicized the title as Tell Her Now! Now we learn John’s demo of the number is to appear on the Oct. release of the Rubber Soul box set as a Lennon work tape of a song in progress. Thank you, Hunter, for setting the stage for this!

The John Lennon Letters by Hunter Davies

The set of handwritten lyrics that appeared in the Hunter Davies Lenon Letters book with Yoko’s authorization. Even in recent years Hunter was finding more ways to wet the Beatles fan whistle for new information!

This turned out to be John’s lyrics to Little Girl, recently issued on the Rubber Soul deluxe boxed set.
