ONE FINAL POINT:

I want to know why the Beatles organization refuses to talk to Mark Lewisohn concerning his trilogy of books about their history? Many longtime Beatles fans do not understand why the most qualified person to tell their story is being denied access to their archives for research material for his books. Is it because they want to have a sanitized version of their story to be presented to the public? I am sure we will learn the answer to those questions in time!

  1. Mark Lewisohn gives a wonderful journey through the Beatles early days in 1962 in Evolver 1962
This is a must watch documentary packed with Beatles history highlights and fab insights, such as:
    1) Seeing very first set of all 4 Beatles signatures that included Ringo dated March 26th, 1962, after an evening performance in Southport (Ringo was filling in) many months before he joined them officially in August, 2) the unsung hero who helped ‘influence’ and persuaded George Martin to sign the Beatles to their first recording contract in June 1962 (Martin had passed them over months earlier), 3) going inside the flat at 36 Falkner Liverpool where John Lennon lived with Cynthia after they got married (Beatles Manager Brian Epstein offered them the use of his secret flat). FYI: Liverpool Beatles tours sometimes will drive by and point at the address on 36 Falkner or at most stop briefly for photos, but there is never access granted inside the property. BTW: the late June Furlong who posed nude when John Lennon attended the Liverpool Art College lived 1/2 block away at 58 Falkner until her death nov 2020 and was an acquaintance of John.
There is much more, of course such as 4) how the Beatles got their first hit single ‘Love Me Do’ that finally got them on the charts and recognition.
Thanks to Mark and the film producers for making this film and Prime Video for on demand access.
