Here are a few sample pages sent to me by Alex Franchi:

Do you have any foreign language books in your Beatles book collections? If so what are the titles? Are different photographs the main draw for you when you purchase a foreign language book or is it simply due to you being able to speak several languages?
Book #2 is in the English language and is more than 600 pages long: BOOTLEG – THE BEATLES
Here is the 2nd new book from Italy, a 630 page book from Fulvio Fiore and Alex Franchi dealing with a pictorial history of bootleg recordings. Please be advised that this site does not endorse or support bootleg recordings but studying their history is truly a fascinating subject. Countries like the Netherlands and Italy have copyright laws that are far more liberal than countries like the US and the UK. Alex Franchi, one of the authors of this new book, has sent us a few sample pages from his pictorial history book dealing with underground recordings: Please note that the sample pages shown below deal mainly with the Beatles, but the book deals with virtually all major artists from that time period. This is not a Beatles book per se’.
BOOK # 2

1969/1997
by Fulvio Fiore and Alex Franchi (630 pages, Isla Publishing 2025)It all began in the summer of 1969…
This is a photographic story that covers two historical phases, 1969-1976 and 1987-1997, but it is also a story to “read”, in fact you will find dozens and dozens of articles taken from the main music magazines of the time (Billboard, Rolling Stone, Cash Box, Melody Maker, Ciao 2001, Rock & Folk etc.etc.) and unpublished documents extracted from the Bulldog and Great Dane Records archives. Release date February 28, 2025.Contact Alex at soundlover30@hotmail.com for ordering.

Have you ever purchased an underground (bootleg) recording? If so, were you aware that it was a bootleg when you bought it? If you collect bootlegs what is your favorite in your collection?
What is the psychological appeal of these recordings if you collect them?

The Beatles
Books about The Beatles as a group
This reminds me of a book calling The Italian Sides of The Beatles by Stefano Cipriani that you suggested I buy several years ago. Glad to see you are still out there and hope work on your book is going well. I have missed your Facebook site since you stopped doing that.
Nice hearing from you again, Michael. The biggest disappointment I had leaving FB was that I lost contact with a lot of the good people I had met on the page. I did not have their email addresses to contact them and to explain why the page closed. Furthermore when an explanation was posted on FB of what had happened, FB took down the explanation. That was the last straw for me. Never again. I suspect the problem occurred due to a couple of people that had been blocked from the page by insulting other members of the group which was totally unacceptable to me. The people were able to get back on the page by using aliases and different emails when registering for the site. I am sure you are fully aware that most social media thrives on controversy and people ruffling others feathers…
