It certainly appears that Sean Lennon has done another fantastic job in helping to preseerve his parents legacy. The Lennon estate’s box sets are second to none in their production values and their wonderful content. I am so looking forward to receiving this wonderful treat in October of 2025!!!

I pre-ordered my selection from US site of UDiscoverMusic.com – I hope Sean doesn’t make us work too hard to find the tracks like on the last album release. I appreciate all of his hard work with putting this together. If it is anything like the tracks on the record store day release from this year, it will be fantastic!
Jennifer- did you notice that the 45 from Sometime in NYC is not listed as being on the boxed set. Apparently the Lennon Estate felt that it either was too controversial or the record company put the kibosh on it!
Thank you yes – I’m glad I have the original concert on VHS and laser disc, as well as the vinyl/CD released in the 1980s. It would be a surprise if new album has as hidden track which I did consider.
Unless it’s a hidden track, a certain song is not included anywhere, in studio, live, element, or evolution form. What’s more, the first CD is a distillation of the second and third CDs, which is A Waste Of Money.
Wardo-Yes-I knoticed that. NOT including the track was obviously a political decision not wanting to offend anyone. Even today, many people do not understand the song’s message. They concentrate on the “word” used in the title, not realizing that was John’s intention to get people to reflect upon and “think” about the subject. Using that word he was shocking some of the audience members. The end result was counterproductive as many in the audience were repulsed by the use of the word and lost the focus of what the song was actually trying to convey. I am also surprised that John’s rehearsal of “Working Class Hero” for the One to One Concert was not part of the set. I agree with your intial distillation comment completely! The “best of” disk was not needed!
